We Held Our Breath, Two-Screen Video Installation with Sound, 13 Minutes, Dimensions Variable, 2024

We Held Our Breath [2024]

Exploring industrial production, construction, consumption and waste, the scenes, statements and actions unfolding across We Held Our Breath reflect complex and interconnecting conversations with members of local environmental groups.

Imagining where possible futures will lead us, We Held Our Breath surveys a landscape that has been dramatically altered by cycles of industry and the values of growth and extraction that underpin it, as a metaphor for living with the environmental crisis we have built for ourselves.

A trace – physically and emotionally – of what will be left for the future.
