Alzheimer's Machine II [2015]

Alzheimer's Machine II follows an unidentified figure as she perfors a repetitive cleaning ritual in a surreal environment that resonates with both a domestic environment and exterior space. Drawing on literary and scientific references, Alzheimer's Machine II  explores the impact of Alzheimer's disease on perception and autobiographical memory. Projected onto a sculptural form derived from the video set, 60 different versions of the video play in random sequences, such that the work is never viewed the same way twice.
